As time progressed, they would become much more accurate toward being able to predict weather patterns and other forms of natural changes or disasters that could come.
Those under such plans would be able to get priority over others and could get warned in advance while they could make use of it to put efforts toward protecting their kingdom and citizens from the incoming danger rather than having to deal with the aftermath once it was all over.
Once everything had been built properly, not only would the White Storm gain control over the skies but it would also gain a godlike prediction over certain events to allow them to seize many opportunities too.
While all of that was taking place, there was something else that was about to happen.
An island that was full of ancient ruins that had looked like an old battle site before the forestation took over was where it was about to take place.
A small ship was sailing toward it until it finally arrived.
A large figure stepped off the ship and looked around their surroundings with a fierce glow in their red eyes.
That figure belonged to Clifford who had been travelling the first half of the Grand Line in search of his next challenge.
It could be said that he had already gone through many life-and-death battles on all kinds of different dangerous islands that allowed him to obtain an even greater proficiency in his swordsmanship.
Not only had he gained great improvements with his swordsmanship but he had gained just as much with his mastery over the two types of Haki he possessed.
He not only did that but he had already reached the pinnacle of his Sulong evolution so he had already fully achieved a physical state that surpassed most others in the world.
Everything had already become quite boring and mundane in a small playground like the first half of the Grand Line so he went seeking a bigger challenge.
He glared toward his surroundings as many shadows surrounded the area preparing to attack the moment that he let down his guard.
A surge of intense bloodlust was released to the point that it could be felt the moment that one of his hands touched the hilt of his sword.
It might not have worked like Conquerors Haki but it still played a role in making the surrounding creatures think twice about attacking him.
Clifford continued to keep up his guard as he walked through the dark forest then he soon arrived in front of an old castle.
Three figures stood there to welcome him as if his presence had already been noticed.
Those three people were Mihawk, Zoro and Perona.
There were little words to be exchanged between the four of them as Hawkeye keenly observed the new arrival.
He recognized that Clifford was dangerous just like Alyssia but not quite as dangerous as her so he pushed Zoro forward. "You said you wanted to get stronger. Fight him."
His gaze went back toward Clifford before stating calmly. "Defeat my pupil then I will fight you."
Mihawk turned back around to enter the castle leaving Perona, Zoro and Clifford alone.
Perona laughed to the side as they were preparing to fight. "Horo horo horo... you saw the previous fight between Alyssia Lucine and him yet you are still willing to fight against someone like this?"
Zoro glared back at her before turning his attention to Clifford. "I must do this if I am to become stronger."
Clifford smiled fiercely in response to those words. "I like your attitude. I was thinking the very same. My captain has spoken about you before... the rumored pirate hunter turned pirate. The user of the three sword style. This should be fun!"
Zoro prepared himself as he removed all three swords right away and placed the bandana over his head to show how serious he was from the start. "Three Sword Style..."
Clifford did the same as he took out both of his swords and got himself into his stance that made full use of his regular dog fighting sword style. "Two Sword Style..."
Their movements became increasingly quick as the sounds of their sword could be heard as they clashed.
Each sword move belonging to Zoro had an extremely high lethality while the three swords he used caused all kinds of strange variations that made it more difficult to avoid.
It was the same for Clifford whose style was very aggressive as he switched between attacking, parrying and blocking in an aggressive and unpredictable manner.
Each time that he caught the swords of Zoro, he turned his blade and adjusted his stance slightly causing the sword of Zoro to shift slightly in that direction while Clifford moved in for an attack.
He kept stepping into all kinds of danger only to narrowly divert it then kept moving toward it like he was very used to such dangers and could navigate his way through them as he sought out his target.
The two figures of him and Zoro kept changing their positions as they continued to make full use of each of their techniques whether it was their footwork or their swordsmanship.
They clashed again before separating further away only for the both of them to slice the air in front of them causing numerous wind blades to fly out toward each other.
Every single one of them clashed after meeting before reaching their targets then both of the figures disappeared again as they navigated through the terrain to meet again.
Not a long time passed since the fight had begun but there had already been many fierce exchanges between them as they made full use of the various techniques they possessed.
Each movement of Clifford was very natural like he was dancing between the sword moves of Zoro then he moved in much closer.
The two swordmen came to a sudden halt causing their forms to become clear.
Clifford held one of his swords very close to the throat of Zoro causing a very thin line of blood to appear there but the wound was not deep.
One small mistake and not stopping in time could have easily resulted in the death of Zoro but Clifford was more than capable of controlling his swords.
If he wanted to end the life of Zoro then it would be all too easy but he admired the talent Zoro had as a swordsman and he quite liked his spirit too.
Clifford had killed others before with his swords but there had never been any deaths of those he respected and those who did not deserve it.
Zoro gritted his teeth harder over his katana that was still in his mouth before releasing it from his mouth and then catching it.
