Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

After listening to Jack's words, Wembley's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Oh, it's close! Do you know what to do next?" he asked eagerly.

Jack tapped on the keyboard a few times, smirking.

"What do you think?"

Wembley stared at the values on the computer screen, reading them aloud one by one.

"Perfect. This is incredible—how did you even think of this?"

Jack gave him a half-smile. "Why don't we try it and see?"

"Yes, yes! What are you waiting for? Bring in a mouse for the test," Wembley called out, practically vibrating with anticipation.

A small lab mouse was retrieved and gently placed into a sterilized enclosure. One of the technicians, gloved and cautious, prepared a syringe filled with a shimmering liquid. He took a deep breath, then carefully injected the substance into the mouse's body.

The mouse immediately began to twitch and squirm, letting out a high-pitched squeal of pain. Its tiny body convulsed inside the transparent glass chamber, rolling over itself as the compound began to take effect. Every technician leaned in, their eyes fixed on the reaction.

Minutes passed. Then, as if reacting to a hidden signal, the mouse's skin shimmered. A metallic sheen crept over its fur, spreading rapidly like mercury over cloth.

"Oh my God…" Wembley gasped.

"It's happening!" one of the technicians exclaimed. "The integration is successful!"

The mouse had transformed into a glistening, chrome-coated creature. A fully metallic rat now slammed its body against the glass, the force behind its movements significantly stronger than before. Though the chamber was built with reinforced glass, a loud crack suddenly echoed through the lab.

"The transformation gave it physical strength beyond expectation," a scientist murmured in awe.

But the wonder wasn't over.

The metal mouse began to reshape itself, its body contorting into a sharp, tapered form—like a living spike. It hurled itself at the glass again.

BOOM!

A larger fracture appeared on the enclosure. Wembley's jaw dropped.

"A tiny lab mouse… with that much destructive force?" he whispered. "Unbelievable!"

But then the energy within the mouse seemed to wane. The tapered body twisted again, reforming into the original mouse shape. Its shrieks turned shrill, almost mournful, and in mere seconds, the metallic layer began to recede.

"No... what's happening?" Wembley whispered.

Then—

BOOM!

The mouse exploded violently, splattering tissue and metallic fragments inside the chamber.

Wembley stared in stunned silence. "It failed?"

Jack shook his head slowly, his voice calm but intense.

"No. This isn't failure. The mouse simply couldn't withstand the power of the deforming element. It was never built to handle this. We need a new test subject."

Wembley blinked. "You mean... another animal?"

Jack looked him in the eye, deadly serious. "No. I mean a person."

"What?!" Wembley's voice cracked. "You're not suggesting human trials already? That's... that's insanity!"

Jack's lips curled into a grin. "It's called scientific dedication. Now—any volunteers?"

Everyone in the lab took a synchronized step backward, leaving Jack standing alone at the center.

"I see," he chuckled. "Looks like I'm the only one committed enough."

Wembley tried to recover his composure with a nervous laugh. "Well, we all believe in you, Jack. Really. Great confidence."

Translation: they were not about to volunteer to explode like the mouse.

Jack moved toward the alloy testing table and lay down. "Let's do this. Inject the deforming elements—directly into my bones."

Wembley's hands trembled slightly. "Are you... absolutely sure?"

"Of course," Jack said with an unsettling calm. "Don't worry. I'm not going to die."

Something about the look in his eyes—sharp, determined, slightly unhinged—told Wembley that Jack wasn't bluffing. Whatever he believed, he was willing to risk everything on it.

"Alright," Wembley nodded. "Begin the procedure."

Under robotic control, a row of gleaming injection tubes moved into position around Jack's body. Wembley pressed a button, and one by one, the long needles plunged into Jack's limbs, chest, and spine.

"Agh!" Jack groaned, his fists clenching with pain. The needles pierced through flesh and drove straight into bone.

Wembley flinched just watching it. "God, that's brutal. If it were anyone else, they'd have passed out from the shock."

Jack's muscles began to spasm. Veins bulged, and sweat poured down his forehead as he gritted his teeth.

"Ugh—Aaaargh!" he bellowed. "It's in... I can feel it moving in my marrow!"

Suddenly, the computer monitors lit up with a cascade of data. Alarms flickered on-screen—readings far beyond normal human limits.

Wembley's voice was shaky with excitement. "Look at this! The deforming element is engaging with his bone marrow cells... but—it's fighting back!"

The screen showed red bone marrow cells locked in combat with strange white, metallic particles. They were devouring each other in an almost even match.

"Impossible," a technician murmured. "Human cells should be obliterated instantly."

"They're not," Wembley said. "They're adapting... evolving."

The fusion wasn't destroying Jack—it was transforming him.

Another technician pointed at the screen. "Look! The red cells—they're changing color. Light red now. The nuclei have been replaced by the deforming elements. This... this could be a successful fusion."

As the battle between red and white cells raged, they slowly began to merge, forming a new cellular structure. What began as two opposing forces were becoming one.

"It's not just the marrow," Wembley gasped. "His entire skeletal structure—calcium is being replaced by the deforming element. It's rebuilding his bones from the inside out."

"And his flesh?" a technician asked, eyes wide.

"Unchanged," Wembley said. "Still human. His tissue isn't affected. It's like... like he's becoming a metal-human hybrid."

"A miracle of science," another whispered.

"Copy everything," Wembley barked. "Every reading, every waveform. The boss needs to see this data. This changes everything!"

Suddenly, Jack's eyes shot open.

CLANG!

Every needle in his body flew out, launching like high-speed projectiles. They tore through steel instruments and shattered quartz glass as if made of paper.

Technicians screamed and ducked. Some weren't fast enough.

Thud. Thud. THUD!

Needle tubes impaled machinery and even pierced through two technicians who hadn't moved fast enough. The lab went still.

Jack sat upright, breathing heavily. His skin glowed faintly, his eyes gleamed with a steely shimmer. He looked down at his hands—no longer trembling, but stable, solid, powerful.

"Jack…" Wembley whispered. "You're... alive."

Jack turned to him with a wicked smile.

"Not just alive," he said. "Reforged."
