"You really have thought things through…"
Connor said faintly.
"This isn't my first time at the Crimson Peak after all. I do know a thing or two. If you are okay with it, then I'll contact the exploration team!"
Jeffrey said with a smile.
"Alright, I'll leave this matter to you!"
Connor lightly nodded.
"Then, I won't disturb your rest now, Mr. McDonald…"
Jeffrey replied with a smile, then turned around and left.
Connor closed the door and lay on the bed. In fact, he knew that Jeffrey wanted to hire a local expedition team because he was worried about his safety. Connor himself was not willing to bring so many people into the mountain. After all, if there were more people, it would be more troublesome.
However, Connor was also worried that if he really brought Jeffrey and Henrik into the mountain, if something were to happen to them, Connor might not be able to find the Soul Returning Fruit alone. He might not even be able to leave Crimson Peak.
