Master Sun pretended not to know and did not show up for the battle to besiege the protectors of the Regan Kingdom.
However, the absence of Elijah allowed Ava Green to easily subdue two protectors of the Regan Kingdom, enhancing her own strength...Master Sun thought about it and felt that it was not a bad thing either. Now that Ava Green thought she could do it, she would not settle for just a Divine Beast Avatar if she had the confidence to fight against the officials.
Master Sun never intended to give it to them in the first place. Now he had even more of an excuse to "break the agreement." He was worried before that these fellows would really make a mess and destroy his plan, but now things were different. With her increased strength, Ava Green wouldn't choose mutual destruction. Master Sun thought that all he had to do was to show that he was "dreading their strength and seeking cooperation," and he could stabilize them and then suddenly turn against them at the last moment!
