Yu Holea sighed. "I saw your desperation. You were willing to do anything for your son, even if it meant lying and tricking people. But this isn't the way."
The man wiped his tears and said in a broken voice,
"I know… but what else can I do? I've tried everything! I begged, borrowed, and even worked extra hours, but it's never enough! My son… he's only twelve. He doesn't deserve this!"
Some people in the crowd looked away, ashamed for mocking him earlier.
Xu Tian scratched the back of his head. "Damn… that's rough."
A young woman in the crowd spoke up. "Is there a way we can help?"
Another person nodded. "Yeah, if it's for a kid, I don't mind donating."
More people started agreeing.
"I'll pitch in!"
"Same here. Even if it's just a little, it can add up."
A businessman in a suit stepped forward.
"I run a charity for medical aid. If you bring your son's medical records, we might be able to cover his treatment costs."
