Amon is eager to meet Anna's stepmother. He wonders how she looks and how she will react to seeing her hard work being taken from her hands.
Anna's stepmother put a lot of work into her, but Amon swooped in and stole her right from her grasp.
He can already see that Anna is more submissive towards him than her own stepmother.
"When will she be arriving?" Amon asks.
"After classes," Anna answers meekly.
Amon smiles, hearing the answer. He can already tell that Anna's stepmother is trying to establish her dominance by arriving when the school is over and making Amon wait for her.
"That won't do... Tell her to come again the day after tomorrow and meet me during school hours," Amon says.
Anna lifts her head, confused. She doesn't know why Amon would make her stepmother do that when he can just easily wait and talk to her for a few minutes after school.
But she doesn't know that this is just another way for Amon to frustrate her stepmother and break down her walls.
