Chapter 11 - Chapter 10

The trio sat around the dining table, a palpable tension thickening the air as forks quietly scraped against plates of fried white rice peppered with pinto beans, served alongside succulent boiled pork chops. Percy and the mysterious woman locked eyes in a silent contest, neither willing to concede, while Angelica fidgeted uncomfortably, still visibly shaken from earlier.

Finally breaking the silence, the woman smirked and leaned forward slightly, her voice dripping with playful mockery. "So, Pervy," she drawled, emphasizing the mispronounced nickname, "do you often worry your little 'girlfriend' to the point she has to summon help while you're conveniently showering? Or were you secretly hoping for a different outcome?" She made air quotes around the word "girlfriend," her eyes dancing mischievously.

Percy's eyes narrowed slightly, irritation clear in his cool blue-gold gaze. He maintained a composed exterior, though his voice was edged with barely restrained annoyance. "My name is Percy, not 'Pervy,'" he corrected pointedly, "and do I genuinely strike you as someone who'd stoop that low?"

She shrugged nonchalantly, her smirk unshaken. "Who knows?" she replied casually, clearly enjoying the discomfort she was causing.

Angelica, meanwhile, had barely touched her food, her thoughts a jumble of embarrassment and confusion. Occasionally, she glanced up nervously, only to quickly avert her gaze when she caught the woman's confident stare. The woman clearly relished Angelica's shy demeanor, finding it amusingly endearing.

Unfazed, she continued her playful taunts. "Regardless, fantasies should remain fantasies," she mused aloud, clicking her tongue teasingly. Then, with a sly, provocative grin, she added, "But if you're serious about turning those dreams into reality, I wouldn't mind playing along."

Angelica's head shot up, eyes wide and incredulous, her cheeks flushed deeply with embarrassment and mild outrage. Her reaction only spurred the woman on further.

"Of course," she purred, clearly savoring Angelica's discomfort, "you might want to gain a bit more experience with your girlfriend first. I prefer men who know what they're doing." Angelica's blush deepened considerably, her emotions easily swayed by the woman's teasing.

Percy clenched his jaw, his annoyance growing at how effortlessly the woman toyed with Angelica's feelings, guiding them from embarrassment to shock to discomfort with disturbing ease.

Heightening the tension, the blue-haired woman rose fluidly from her seat and moved gracefully behind Angelica, placing delicate hands on her shoulders. Angelica stiffened immediately, her eyes wide with startled surprise at the unexpected touch.

Leaning in seductively, the woman whispered into Angelica's ear, her gaze fixed confidently upon Percy. "If you're not man enough, perhaps I could personally educate this sweet little angel. After all, she's still pure," she whispered provocatively, her voice dripping with calculated allure. "But if I take charge, that purity might not remain intact. And you wouldn't want that, would you, Pervy?"

Her voice, a velvet caress wrapped in silk, paired with the intoxicating scent of her perfume, created an irresistible yet dangerous aura, leaving Percy with a chilling sense of unease mixed with fierce protectiveness.

Percy's frustration was palpable. He responded in a deceptively calm tone, the anger evident in his eyes, "Don't... Piss... Me... Off." As he spoke, an unusual aura of power began to emanate from him, creating a visible disturbance in the air that caused objects around them to rattle and shake. Both Angelica and the woman watched in astonishment, unsure of what was unfolding before them.

"Percy?" Angelica's voice, laced with concern, broke through the escalating tension. He turned towards her, his gaze softening as he noticed a new, vulnerable expression on her face. Realizing the effect of his emotions, Percy took a moment to calm himself, the mysterious energy subsiding.

Before Percy could fully collect his thoughts, the woman retracted her hands from Angelica and moved closer to Percy. "Wow," she exclaimed, her eyes fixed on him with a predator-like focus. "I can't believe it."

Percy, feeling increasingly uneasy, asked, "What?"

"What you just did," she responded, her intrigue evident.

"And what would that be?" Percy inquired, genuinely confused.

"You do not know the power you wield," she declared cryptically. Then, with a swift turn and a snap of her fingers, she added an air of enigma to the already tense atmosphere.

The chaotic scene inside the room quickly settled as the objects that had been floating around under the influence of Percy's mysterious power returned to their original places. The dishes cleaned themselves and stacked neatly back onto the shelves, while the remaining food was promptly packaged and stored in the fridge. Amidst this surreal activity, the woman's appearance underwent a dramatic transformation, shifting from a schoolgirl's flirtatious nurse outfit to that of a professional, yet still alluring, sexy teacher.

Both Angelica and Percy were left utterly bewildered by the events that had just unfolded. Words failed them; their minds were like derailed trains, unable to get back on track. The woman, now in her teacher guise, turned to them with a knowing smile. "That's why I love children. Pure, utter ignorance," she remarked, her voice tinged with amusement.

As she moved toward the door, she gestured for them to follow. "Well, come on!" Angelica, finally finding her voice, broke the silence with a question. "Where are you taking us?"

The teacher's smile broadened. "You'll see," she replied cryptically, sparking even more curiosity.

With a mix of hesitation and intrigue, Percy and Angelica quickly put on their shoes and hastened to catch up with her.

….

Under the cover of darkness, the trio's silhouettes were barely discernible as they walked. The two young followers were trying to make sense of the enigmatic teacher who had so easily convinced them to follow her.

"Percy, where do you think she is taking us?" Angelica whispered, her voice low and uncertain.

Percy could only respond with a noncommittal shrug, just as puzzled as she was.

As they continued their journey, the surroundings kept morphing, alternating between futuristic, high-tech buildings and structures reminiscent of medieval stone huts. Percy found the entire situation increasingly strange and perplexing.

Percy shook his head slightly, equally puzzled. "Not a clue."

Seeking some clarity, Angelica ventured softly, her curiosity overcoming her unease. "Teacher, may we know your name?"

The woman paused briefly, as though the request had momentarily slipped her mind. "Ah, yes—of course. My lovelies, my name is Amanda." Her lips curled into a confident smile. "Amanda Wrights," she clarified, adding an expectant tilt to her voice, as though the surname should evoke recognition.

Percy and Angelica exchanged puzzled glances, clearly unfamiliar with the name's supposed importance. Amanda's brows lifted slightly, an unspoken question lingering in her eyes. "Of the Wrights family?" she prompted, her tone hinting at an expectation of acknowledgment. When their blank expressions persisted, Amanda shook her head lightly, dismissing it. "You know what? Never mind, it's not important anyway," she concluded, looking ahead with an air of mild annoyance.

....

Their destination soon loomed ahead: an imposing structure entirely made of glass windows, starkly transparent and boldly inviting scrutiny. It seemed to declare openly, "Look here! Your secrets are bare for all to see!" Percy, unsettled yet intrigued by the building's paradoxical nature, turned to Amanda. "What exactly are we doing here?" he asked, suspicion sharpening his tone.

Amanda merely smiled cryptically, stepping forward without explanation. With resigned curiosity, Percy and Angelica followed, drawn into the enigma she embodied.

Inside, the transparency of the exterior belied a formidable reality. Far from fragile, the structure revealed itself as a heavily fortified military training facility. Its sheer scale defied belief, causing Percy to exhale an astonished, "Well, shit!" The expansive interior easily dwarfed a football field several times over, and Percy couldn't suppress his amazement. "How is this even possible?" he marveled aloud, the wonderment evident in his voice.

Beside him, Angelica stood in stunned silence, her usual verbosity eclipsed by awe. Amanda chuckled softly, clearly amused by their reactions. "How?" she echoed, her voice playful. "Survive to year four, and perhaps you'll uncover the secrets of this magi spell."

She began walking deeper inside, beckoning them forward. "Allow me to serve as your guide," she declared, her voice resonating with authority. "Welcome to the multi-environment combat gym."

With a flick of a switch, Amanda revealed invisible boundaries glowing faintly around four elemental zones. "These boundaries," she explained, "are fortified by our esteemed headmaster's spell—unbreakable unless you're a tenth-circle mage." She cast Percy a knowing glance, sending an involuntary chill through him.

Amanda's smile widened, eyes glinting with anticipation. "Once your elemental nature awakens, you'll find your abilities magnified significantly here."

Percy, intrigued yet cautious, inquired, "Why is that?"

"Why?" Amanda echoed softly, her voice carrying an unsettling calmness. The moment she spoke, the building descended into an abrupt, impenetrable darkness. An unnatural chill permeated the air, dropping the temperature drastically. Their breaths became visible, forming delicate plumes of mist that vanished as quickly as they appeared. Percy and Angelica instinctively huddled closer, but warmth remained elusive.

Angelica's eyes widened as she noticed frost beginning to creep along the floor, inching rapidly towards them. "Percy, look out!" she cried urgently, though her warning came too late. Ice swiftly climbed their feet, encasing them in a crystalline prison. Frantically struggling against the frozen bonds only accelerated the chilling process, locking them firmly in place.

Percy's heart thundered in his chest as he exchanged a fearful glance with Angelica, both understanding the futility of their situation. His gaze shifted to Amanda, the orchestrator of their icy predicament, and his anger flared when he saw her expression—a subtle, chilling smile, clearly delighting in their helplessness.

Amanda approached Percy with deliberate grace, leaning close to whisper ominously into his ear, her voice a chilling caress, "No warmth shall exist in my presence."

Gone was the playful, flirtatious woman from before, replaced by a being who exuded a profound, unsettling power. The air felt drained of vitality, replaced by a palpable aura of dread that weighed heavily on Percy.

As their eyes met, Percy's dual-colored gaze—golden and aquamarine—locked onto Amanda's deep violet eyes, which bore a faint, almost imperceptible tint of blackness, hinting at secrets deeper than he could fathom. Percy felt exposed, vulnerable under her penetrating stare, as if she were peeling back layers of his very soul.

Just as he began to comprehend the depth of Amanda's enigmatic nature, she suddenly broke eye contact, and the oppressive chill vanished as swiftly as it had come. The room reverted instantly to its former state, leaving Percy and Angelica gasping and bewildered, completely unharmed, and free from any trace of frost.

"What just happened?" Angelica managed to stammer, her voice trembling with shock and confusion.

Amanda regarded them casually, as though nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. "What do you mean?" she replied nonchalantly, an innocent mask now firmly back in place.

Angelica, too stunned to respond further, left Amanda to elaborate. "The surge of power you'll feel here is by our headmaster's design. Its purpose will become clear in time. For now," Amanda continued, turning deliberately towards Percy, "you'll discover and hone your elemental powers."

With a dramatic sweep of her hands, Amanda triggered an intense tremor that shook the building, signifying the unseen forces woven into the very structure itself. Percy's attention was immediately drawn toward one particular area.

To the south, an intense landscape unfolded before them, vibrant hues of orange, red, and yellow illuminating every corner. It depicted the brutal yet majestic environment of an erupting volcano. Streams of magma pulsed fiercely through the landscape, forming fiery veins that weaved an intricate network, carving pathways through the rugged terrain. Scattered amidst the rivers of molten rock were small pockets of hardened stone, tiny islands offering fleeting reprieve from the overwhelming heat, painting a vivid portrait of raw, untamed power.

Nestled within this fiery domain stood an extraordinary yet ominous sight—a blood flower blooming defiantly amidst the inhospitable landscape. This remarkable flora seemed to thrive on the volcanic nourishment beneath, a testament to nature's adaptability even in the harshest conditions. Around it, the terrain was frequently punctuated by the violent eruption of blazing geysers, each explosion releasing scorching heat that seeped deep into one's bones, underscoring fire's raw and merciless dominion.

In stark contrast, Angelica's gaze drifted northward, where tranquility reigned supreme. Here lay serene, expansive waters that gently caressed scattered shores, exuding an air of profound calm. Majestic waterfalls cascaded endlessly from ethereal heights, creating rhythmic melodies that echoed through the tranquil surroundings. Intriguing water bubbles of varying sizes floated gently in the air, each encapsulating lush, flourishing landscapes—tiny worlds existing peacefully within their isolated, watery sanctuaries.

Turning westward revealed an altogether different landscape, brimming with primal, dormant power. Towering mountains loomed imposingly, challenging the heavens themselves, while dense, verdant jungles blanketed the earth beneath. Within this formidable greenery prowled mysterious, beast-like creatures, their presence a chilling reminder of nature's merciless hierarchy. Closer inspection unveiled cracks slicing across the ground like fractured skin, hinting at immense subterranean forces perpetually at play. Remarkably, the earth itself seemed to breathe, rhythmically rising and falling, amplifying the tension and awe inspired by this volatile land.

Finally, the eastern realm presented itself as an enigma wrapped in perpetual twilight. Dark, ever-clouded skies cast an ominous shadow, heightening the region's inherent mystery. Violent whirlwinds and chaotic tornadoes ravaged the terrain, reshaping it continuously with unstoppable force. The very air was almost lethal, constricting lungs with every breath and testing resilience to its limits. Intense air pressure compressed these tornadoes into compact yet fiercely powerful cyclones merely ten feet tall, their diminished stature only magnifying their concentrated strength. The east stood as a testament to air's fierce and unrelenting power, where survival was a constant battle against nature's fury.

Percy and Angelica gazed at the once mundane building with newfound awe and respect. "Wow," they both uttered simultaneously, their voices echoing their amazement.

Amanda observed their reactions, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly in amusement before returning to her usual expression. "This gym offers immense opportunities for university students. Those who train here often see remarkable improvements in their magical abilities. It's one of the reasons why Solarskis University is considered the best in the world," she explained with a proud smile, her laughter hinting at cherished memories.

Then, Amanda did something unexpected. She gracefully waved her arms, forming a circle in the air, and vanished into thin air. Percy and Angelica, now alone, looked around in bewilderment. They found themselves in the center of the gym, encircled by the distinct elemental sections.

"What do we do now?" Angelica asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Didn't I already tell you?" a disembodied voice, unmistakably Amanda's, whispered through the wind.

The duo, already accustomed to Amanda's unpredictable nature, sensed another shift in the environment. This time, it wasn't just the space around them that was changing; the elemental sections themselves seemed to be reacting to this new alteration. The air was thick with anticipation, signaling that their adventure was far from over.

The domains representing the fundamental elements—Fire, Water, Earth, and Air—began to assert their presence more aggressively, encroaching upon what was previously considered a safe zone for Percy and Angelica. This encroachment was not just a physical invasion of space; it was an overwhelming influx of elemental power. As these elemental forces converged and intensified around them, Percy and Angelica felt an immense weight pressing down upon them. This force was so potent and all-encompassing that it pinned them closer to the ground, a physical manifestation of the tremendous energy exerted by the elemental domains.

The sensation of being weighed down by such power was both awe-inspiring and daunting. It highlighted the vast and uncontrollable nature of these elemental forces and their ability to influence and dominate the environment.

"Damn," Percy and Angelica barely managed to mutter, each struggling to cope with their current predicament.

Despite their struggle, Amanda reappeared, now clad in a dangerously authoritative outfit. "We're here to find out your element," Amanda smiled confidently, her demeanor now unmistakably commanding. "Now hurry up, we don't have the luxury to spend too much time here."
