That sight proved encouraging, but Noah and his avatar refused to move. At least not yet. The saint's aura had grown more dangerous even if it grew further unstable.
Just by looking at him, they could tell he was ready to do anything reckless to relieve himself of his agony.
"Why doesn't he just cut his arm?" Even Noah was forced to ask. At the rate at which things were going, killing the expert would be feasible.
"He had the option of doing that earlier. But that solution was made null when he tried to make speedessence his," the avatar explained.
"He not only helped the speedessence by bringing it to his core, but he also made sure that for a chance of recovery, he would need to shut off the flow of mana streaming through his insides."
"Doing that would force him to deactivate whatever defenses he had under his sleeves. He would then need to empty himself of that corrupted mana flow. Further making him weak, and afterward, he'd have to focus on his core."
