I walked into Senator Buchanan's victory party and saw Weird in Military Garb. I asked what happened and he gave me a strange look like we had never met. This stung but I didn't press on until the Feds arrived to arrest one of the guests. Weird was the arresting officer. I walked up to him and asked how many doppelgangers does he have. This earned a chuckle and I turned to see there were three other identical. They smiled, "So this your new girlfriend." I shook my head to say no. Weird grinned, "She is not my girlfriend yet. I am trying to wear her down but no luck so far." I asked him, "Do you want to put a ring on my finger? Do you want to cut a waxy umbilical cord? Do you want to forget your gun bring a cannoli to work?" He hesitated for a second, "Yes to all the questions." I turned to Adam, "Find Sasha please. It is urgent." She came running, "MM what happened?" I inquired, "How hard did you hit Weird? He wants to switch from gun to cannoli." She looked at Weird, "You want to marry my sister first bulk up a little bit. Second, since Nick was caught red-handed cheating on her with another man. She made it clear she will marry whom we chose. So you want her? Start your rounds with GG." Sasha took my hand and walked towards Arden.
Arden and I danced till my feet were swollen. Weird watched as I begged him to let me sit. Finally, he walked over and told me that Diana is not feeling so good. I excused myself and walked to Sasha and borrowed her earpiece. I left mine at the estate. This surprised Weird and his family, I listened to Diana telling stories to GG and Dash. I breathed easily and turned to yell at him. He raised his hand and asked for forgiveness. Arden came and asked if Diana was ok, I nod my head. He asked me if I wanted to go to Seychelles for the weekend. I wanted to say yes but I had non-negotiable appointments. He promised to take me the following weekend. We shook hands to seal the agreement. This seems to cheer Sasha up. She always like Arden more than the others I dated.
When the party was over Weird came forward and asked Adam to let him take me home. Adam refused and asked him to pursue the car because he is not sanctioned by contract to allow others to drive me where I go. Weird followed us and Adam gruntled, "Five minutes kiddo, and then I am afraid you will have to go." Weird gave me a ring to hold on to till he convinces my family that he is enough. I wished him luck and accepted the ring. It was an infinity ring. I liked it very much so I placed it as a pendant on the necklace I wore. This made Weird so joyous that he had a spring in his step as he walked to his car. He looked back at least ten times before he reached his car.
I told everyone what happened and everyone asked Sasha if he was ever her sparring partner and she made it clear she didn't conk him so hard that his gray matter was scrambled and his decision making was altered. The others laughed as GG and Hattie joked about Weird being my husband, "He is likely to tell you his feelings military style. He will say 'I love you' like the Drill Sargent would say Attention." I pursed my lips, "I spend a lot of time with soldiers. They never say I love you like that, trust me" GG's expression earned another round of laughs from the kittens. I walked to the kitchen to make Chips Wrap. It is simple to make, take a corn tortilla and rub American mustard over it. Shred iceberg lettuce and add crispy French Fries. These fries must not be soft on the inside. Hard fried chips are the only way to go. Sprinkle little pickled onions and wrap them up and enjoy. I think I will wash it down with a Strawberry Margarita a none alcoholic beverage.
