Chapter 1113 - Anchor

Khan felt as if he was looking at the world from behind the eyes of a stranger. He saw but also didn't. Everything was muffled as if hidden behind several spongy layers that clouded vision, hearing, and perception.

Khan also felt like he had awakened from a long, mystical dream. He recalled his consciousness spreading through the stars, sensing their very breathing. Meanwhile, his current perception was wrong, way too limited for a being of his stature.

Still, that mere concept sounded wrong. Khan never dreamt. He only had nightmares, so he couldn't possibly have memories of something he couldn't experience. Those sensations had to come from somewhere else, but Khan couldn't pinpoint where.

Khan kept looking at Hughie, and a primordial, bottomless hunger spread through his brain. He believed he hadn't eaten in years and was starving now. That puny human couldn't possibly satiate him, but it was a start.
