"...A house?" Gin wasn't sure he heard right.
"Yeah… Didn't you hear earlier? I just moved here! I don't have a place to stay yet." Xu Jiaqi complained. "I went to look for places earlier but something happened… So I planned to stay at a hotel, but then I met you."
Xu Jiaqi: I'm so smart! Surely my story sounds believable!
"I see. That makes sense." Gin chuckled.
Although it was just a split second, Xu Jiaqi's tone had a hint of uncertainty. On top of that, he had already realized her true identity from long ago, and she must've done the same. Then why would she continue this farce?
Of course, he'd gladly play along if it meant making her happy.
"So… do you, or do you not?" Xu Jiaqi asked, her hands gripping the steering wheel tighter.
"Naturally." His hands moved swiftly, operating the tablet screen attached to the car. He typed in an address into the navigator, allowing Xu Jiaqi to look and drive.
