Mireille was confused about what to say to her. Just about she was going, to tell the truth. Loreto shamelessly explain,
"Old grandma, I am the top man who pursues her and I'm the only person she called….."
Before he said anything weird, she picked his ear and gave him a scolding.
"brat, don't be cocky. Don't ruin my reputation with your stupid mouth"
Though she thought he wouldn't listen, to her surprise, he shut down his mouth and sat obediently.
Old grandpa and old granny were amused by their childish behaviour and began to laugh. They were once like at their young age.
They constantly teased and scolded each other in the early marriage. To them, this scenario is one of the most important periods of their life which they can't.
Loreto and Mireille were heard by the sudden of old man and granny got startled and confusion arose in their head.
They soon realised many elders was watching them with a grin and have amused expression as if they were saying, "it's good to see a nice and young couple"
Mireille, blushed by their reaction but she didn't feel angry instead she felt blissful and calm in her heart. As for Loreto, he too felt a little shy by their overall reaction, he wasn't an exhibitionist but unlike her, he was too happy to hide, as his face got a smile.
When Mireille saw his smiling face, she punched him on his back which made instead imbalance him. As he tried to balance himself, he turned to Mireille. But a pebble that was stuck in between them made him lose control of his body.
He fell towards Mireille and when they awoke, they found themselves kissing each other. This attracts the attention of all elders, as they watched them kissing each other. They all find themselves agreeing that these two must be together as they signal in silence.
Mireille, who kissed again together with stares of elders, felt very embarrassed, she then slapped him on his face and ran towards the restroom.
Loreto who just got slapped was pretty sad. He was then greeted by elders.
"good morning to you all elders" as he was of the younger generation, he greeted them first.
All of the elders were pleasant, as they returned the greeting.
"Good morning, young lads"
They stopped for a while as to what to say to him again. Seeing them silent, Loreto took the initiative to start the conversation.
"Elders, sorry to give you an unpleasant morning" he quickly apologised to them about the incident just a minute ago.
In the place they were residing, the elders hadn't seen a polite person in a decade. So they were pleasantly surprised by his sweet behaviour.
Then suddenly one of the elders asked him a question, which took him by surprise.
"Young man, are you pursuing that girl?"
All the elders were giving him thumbs up for his question. They were too bored, their grandchild doesn't play with them anymore. As he was a good child, they decided that they would act as communication for them to stay together.
Loreto nodded at the question of the elders. All of the elders were immediately excited by his answer.
They started talking with him about various things. They reached a point where one of the elders asked him about their help
"young ones, seeing your expression, we can't help but to help you in pursuing, I know you will take good care of her from the expression you held for her"
Elders Yu and others agreed with them as if they found a good grandson in law. But his next words spoken by him gave them a pleasant surprise.
"thank you elders for consideration, but I will do it myself as I want to truly loved by her heart"
Though various elders who disagree with others, Couldn't help themself from joining the fun. They decided secretly that they will intervene with their little events.
"You are a too kind young man, as you won't interfere with your love life" Elder Yu spoke considering him asking him a difficult question".
Then he and the elders started walking together while talking about various topics.
At the side of Mireille,
She quickly dashed towards the restroom. She turned on the pipe to wash with fresh water. She then sees herself in the mirror, her face is quite red and thinking about the events, she finds herself ridiculous.
After a minute she got out of the restroom, she then saw granny Yu standing as if she was waiting for her.
She was embarrassed by her poor behaviour she did a while ago. It wasn't her fault, for some reason she can't bring herself to act in the presence of Loreto.
But thought can wait, but granny Yu can't wait from heat, if she stands there she may get a heat stroke. So she quickly ran towards her.
"Granny, why are you standing alone?" Granny Yu said with a smile.
"little girl, are you okay now?" she showed her concern for her. "I know you would be embarrassed being started by us, so I waited for you in this sunny weather"
Mireille has a soft spot for elders in her heart. Seeing her standing while enduring heat made her eyes wet. Just before she began to cry, her face was touched by her weak hand.
"little girl, don't cry you are a big lady now, you must not cry for an elder like me"
Her word gave her injury in her heart. She then embraces her and then said, "yes granny I won't cry"
they stay like this for a few seconds.
After their hug was finished, she carried her on her back as they returned to the event venue.
In the middle of the road, Granny Yu questions her about Loreto.
"little do you like the young man, when I see you together with him, I thought you both were compatible with each other"
Her question caught me off guard. She then answered in some weird words.
"well, I .. how to say this, I feel warm and happy when I am together with him as if he is part of my life"
Seeing her embarrassed and confused answer, Granny Yu already knew what she wanted to do.
