Unconsciously, Elle burst out laughing. Tears from laughing too hard came out of her eyes, unconsciously.
"Do you think I believe it, Your Majesty?" Maintaining politeness to the man who once sat on the highest throne, Elle bowed, giving her last respect.
"Once again, I ask you, is Elder still alive?" Emperor Paddu trembled.
His eyes that had previously shown indifference now seemed to be worried about something.
"Could it be that you regret killing Prince Elder?" She hesitated, making sure Emperor Paddu did not push her.
"I don't know. Maybe regret and not regret. Even though you have the Highest Power, I still doubt that you can revive my son whom I killed with all the deadliest poisons I have."
For a moment, Elle saw a flash of tears floating in Emperor Paddu's eyes. Or was Elle just seeing things wrong?
