"I thought Korede was reckless but you're on another level." Fatima added.

She didn't bother to reply. Korede shook his head.
"Alright, let's do a SitRep." He said in a serious tone.
"Hugo is as we thought. After Fernando died, he saw an opportunity so he wanted to use Vargas' hand to usurp the vacant position. He saw Vargas as a stepping stone he'll use to conquer the entire Mexican underworld," Temitope said.
"So nothing new?"
"Maybe," Temitope said unsure. "He once confronted Vargas about Fernando's death. He, for some reason, confessed to knowing about the assassination beforehand but claimed he didn't issue the order. Said it came from his 'partners'."
