His name is Gawain One of the Knights of the Round Table that appears in Arthurian legend, also known as the White Knight of the Round Table. If King Arthur is the night, symbolic of the moon itself, then Sir Gawain is the day, bearing the sun. He acts as a King Arthur impersonator at the royal court of Camelot. In other words, he was one of the candidates to succeed the King after his downfall. He is the bearer of Excalibur's "brother" sword, Excalibur Galatine. However, blinded by admiration for the King, he was oblivious to the King's suffering. A loyal knight like Sir Bedivere who cared for King Arthur in his final moments, but unlike Bedivere who wanted the King to find happiness from the bottom of his heart, Gawain wished she could develop as a king. Regardless of such evaluations and intentions from those around her, Sir Gawain remained King Arthur's right-hand man to the very end.
He never underestimated his enemies. Needless to say, he also never insulted his enemies, facing them politely and maintaining his fighting spirit, he gallantly charged into battle as soon as the order was given and won with a fresh smile. Naturally, he was described as the ideal knight. His biggest regret is him falling out with Sir Lancelot. He is a knight on par with Sir Lancelot yet does not get along with him either, unable to forget that Lancelot killed his brothers Gareth and Gaheris. With a pure personality, he is an ideal young warrior and thus his affection for his kin is greater than anyone else.
"Sir Lancelot not only killed my brothers, that black knight even betrayed the King. Kidnapped the King's wife. How do you expect to be forgiven?"
-Gawain
But in the end, King Arthur forgave Sir Lancelot
"I was wrong for everything".
Gawain, however, never forgave Sir Lancelot's betrayal and remained hostile towards him to the end. That grudge not only cost Sir Gawain his status as a knight, but ultimately even contributed to the King's downfall. Sir Gawain continued to reject Sir Lancelot as he attempted to participate in the Battle of Camlann even after being excommunicated and consequently, leading to the death of the King and himself.
During King Arthur's last fight at Camlann hill, Sir Gawain dies after being attacked by Mordred, plus a internal wound inflicted by Sir Lancelot. Just as King Arthur was self-reproaching on Camlann hill, Sir Gawain also wept at his death. His selfishness invites the King to die. He laments that his grudge invites the King's destruction. Even though in the end it couldn't help the king in any way, his loyalty was sincere until the end.
"...in the next opportunity. If there is a chance to restore my honor (second life) then at that time I will devote everything to the king..."
-Gawain
Thus, he was brought back as a Heroic Spirit. Sir Gawain regained his Knight of the Sun image. Having become a Servant while keeping that vow in his heart to right his wrongs, regretting his past life, Sir Gawain serves his Master as a more perfect "knight".
Earnestly doing all kinds of work. Despite his serious character, he doesn't have a gloomy aspect and interacts with everyone in a sincere and polite manner. Even though he might be angry, because he never had negative emotions like jealousy and malice, his demeanor was always fresh no matter what kind of battlefield. According to another Knights of the Round Table, "This lack of sarcasm is already his talent". A loyal knight, his loyalty to the king is like iron.
Gawain wants to serve a true king loyally without question or hesitation like a true knight. The relationship between Leonardo B. Harwey and Gawain is like that of true brothers. But Gawain sees flaws in his Master and he understands that his Master never loses. Gawain didn't tell him because he wanted to witness his Master's growth. He can be very protective of Leo and insult Hakuno's Servants, for example he calls Nero the Whore of Babylon (you get the reference in Fate Arcade), also insults Caster & Archer.
He developed a good working relationship with Julius B. Harwey and he described Julius as being similar to Lancelot.
When it comes to food, he believes that quantity exceeds quality. He likes potatoes, vinegar, bread, ale and vegetables.
It is said that Gawain might be a more powerful Heroic Spirit than King Arthur at noon when the sun is at its highest. Gawain is a highly skilled swordsman who wields Excalibur Galatine, the Elemental-given Excalibur's "brother" called the Lady of the Lake. Although not as famous as Excalibur, he has a power that can match the legendary sword. Galatine has a fragment of the sun dwelling within it, said to be able to purge evil. Gawain says that his sword is the incarnation of the sun itself.
Compared to King Arthur's protection from the moon (Artemis, goddess of the moon), Sir Gawain is a knight who received a grace from the sun that earned him the title "Knight of the Sun". While serving the Lion King in Camelot singularity, he received the skill "Nightlessness", which makes the sun shine wherever he goes even at night, ensuring that he is always at his peak.

For NP gain, the best chain is ABQEx. With NP charge atk 1.14%, quick up 8% of passive skill, assuming no crit or overkill, it will be:
Art + Buster + Quick + Extra
= 9.12% + 1.14% + 7.2048% + 11.4%
= 28.8648%
Below average
For stargen, the best chain is ABQEx too. With 10% stargen, 8% quick up, assuming no crit or overkill, the result will be:
Art + Buster + Quick + Extra
= 20% + 25% + 408.8% + 550%
= (0 stars and 20% for 1 star) + (0 stars and 25% for 1 star) + (4 stars and 8.8% for 5 stars) + (5 stars and 50% for 6 stars)
= 9~13 stars
It's not really his role.
I also want to crit dmg considering he can Buster Brave Chain. His atk stat at level 80 is 11173 (already 1000 Fou), assuming 10/10/10 skills, he has an atk up of 32% from skills 1 & 2, base multiplier 1x, so:
Busters + Busters + Busters
= 15803.09 + 17838.36 + 19873.64
If in the arena in a midday state, then he has a 30% Buster up, so:
Busters + Busters + Busters
= 18856.00 + 21501.86 + 24147.71
NOBLE PHANTASM

"Your will. My holy sword is the embodiment of the sun. Under the king's command, I will burn all on the surface to the ground."
"The blade of this holy sword is a copy of the sun itself. Holy sword of the stars, swing again!"
"Excalibur Galatine!!"
--- Gawains
Excalibur Galatine : The Reborn Sword of Victory is the sword that belongs to Sir Gawain. It is Excalibur's "brother" sword, also originally owned by the Lady of the Lake, but is not recognized as a holy sword and is rarely mentioned due to legend being inferior to Excalibur. While Excalibur gathers the light from the planet, Sir Gawain's sword is said to represent the rays from the sun with a pseudo-sun in the hilt. Arthur has the peace of the night from the moon goddesses, Alto and Artemis, and Gawain is a knight who received the blessing of the sun. It displayed its greatest power during the day, rendering its unrivaled sharpness of neat slashes pierce through shields and swarms of the enemy Saracen army, Priamus.
In contrast to Excalibur's slash that was capable of destroying a castle, Galatine produced a wide wave, radiation-type attack that completely annihilated enemy soldiers. Gawain throws the sword into the air where the pseudo-sun within creates a miniature sun before returning in his grasp. While the sun floated overhead, he created a large magic circle with the sun symbol in the center as he drew the sword behind his back. With slash-like motions, pseudo-sun beams, and energy infused into them, the attack extended far beyond visualizing her sword slash, around 13km or so, just like its prototype, Caladbolg. He releases horizontal flames that penetrate the enemy as if into a giant fireball that engulfs them.
For NP damage, we collect data first. His atk stat at level 80 is 11173 (already 1000 Fou), NP1 multiplier 300%, assume skill 10/10/10, there is atk up 32% from skills 1 & 2, base multiplier 1x, he generates NP damage of 15264.55 /enemy.
Why is it low? Let's count if the midday arena. He got Buster up 30%, so 19,843.92/enemy.
Still amused, even with the midday arena he is still on par with Siegfried. But the more value of the NP lies in the burn.
ACTIVE SKILLS
1. Numeral of The Saint
Rank : EX
Effect : Increases own attack damage by 20% for 3 turns + When the Sun shines in the field, increases Buster performance(30% at level 10) for 3 turns.
Cooldown : 7/6/5
Numeral of the Saint Is a condition unique to Sir Gawain. During just the three hours between 9 and noon as well as the three hours between 3 pm and sunset, Gawain's power tripled. This is related to the ancient belief that the number '3' is a sacred number representing a Celtic god. In terms of gameplay, this skill is too situational because it's only optimal in the midday arena.
2. Charisma
Rank : E
Effect : Increases party's attack(12% at level 10) for 3 turns.
Cooldown : 7/6/5
Charisma is a rare talent, but in rare cases, there are some things that can affect the personality development of the owner. As for gameplay, this skill…. how come, 12% is low.
3. Belt of Bertilak
Rank : EX
Effect : Increases own NP gauge by 20% + Gain critical stars(10 star at level 10) + Grants self guts status(revive 2000 HP at level 10) for 1 turn.
Cooldown : 8/7/6
This skill is good considering normal CD, can fill NP, but unfortunately guts only lasts for 1 turn so sometimes it's difficult to manage.
PASSIVE SKILLS
1. Magic Resistance
Rank : B
Effect : Increases own resistance to debuffs by 17.5%.
Cancels spells with a chant under three verses. Even if it was targeted by High Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it was difficult for him to be swayed.
2. Riding
Rank : B
Effect : Increases own Quick card performance by 8%
Most vehicles and animals can be driven with above average skill, even non-existent vehicles in the period they live. However, one cannot ride Phantasmal Species like Monstrous Beasts.
CE Suggestion :
- Cosmos Prism
- Divine Banquet
- Heaven's Feel
- Limited/Zero Over
- Victor from the Moon
- Kaleido
- Joint Recital
- Heroine Eli-chan's Adventure
-Demon King of the Sixth Heaven Limited
- Our Conquest on The Ocean of Stars
-First Sunrise
- Sealing Designation / Enforcer
- Dabābu Hamāṭu Bāṣu
- Etc. (any CE for Buster up, NP gain up, crit & star absorb)
Servant's Suggestion:
- Merlins
- Wavers
-Shakespearean
- Hans
- Helena
- Tomoe (Burn they synergize coolly)
Advantages :
- His stats are high for an SR
- Burn can be stacked
- Mayan balanced stats
Disadvantages:
- Too situational
- Skill 2 is too small
- Small NP damage, due to small multiplier
Conclusion :
He's a gorilla, even his horse calls him a horse. Joke aside, he's the servant type who really needs support. In order for him to be in gorilla mode, he needs CE star absorb and star generating support.
