About half an hour later, Shane returned to the hotel where his companions resided.
"Welcome back."
Lasha stood on the balcony, as if she knew exactly when Shane would return, or perhaps she had been waiting there all along. She spoke to Shane, who descended from the sky.
"Yes, we're back."
Shane had indeed gotten used to this. He paid no mind to Lasha's sudden appearances and simply handed over the jade to her.
Lasha accepted the jade, expressionless, and embraced it.
The jade behaved quietly in Lasha's arms, its two eyes still fixed on Shane, as if looking at something intriguing.
As for Shane, of course, he was still holding the unconscious Foxman Saintess in his arms.
