In that moment on, all the ghouls outside the wall, then begun surging towards Warwick, as the latter growled and pounced at the living corpse himself. With its powerful claws and sharp teeth, Warwick ripped apart the ghouls on the field prompting the dhampir hiding behind the trees to move.
A dhampir is a mythical creature from Balkan folklore, traditionally described as the offspring of a vampire and a human. Dhampirs are often depicted as possessing supernatural abilities inherited from their vampire parent, such as heightened senses, increased strength, agility, and an extended lifespan, while typically lacking the full weaknesses of vampires, such as vulnerability to sunlight. In folklore, dhampirs were sometimes believed to be natural vampire hunters, able to detect and destroy vampires due to their unique heritage. In modern fantasy literature, video games, and films, dhampirs are frequently portrayed as conflicted antiheroes, torn between their human and vampiric sides, struggling with their thirst for blood while striving to maintain their humanity.
On that note dhampir has a specialty of their own that set them aside from ghouls and that is they know how to use magic. With that, the moment Warwick tried to charge at them, all the dhampirs then aimed their magic at him, and begun their own bombardment which lasted awhile.
Of course Warwick tried to dodge some of the spells, however he wasn't agile enough to dodge them all, so the moment he got hit by one of the spell which blew him back, he was then drowned by the attack which left him unable to defend himself.
In just a few moment Warwick was left in rags and was knocking at deaths door due to its injuries. After one final attack from the dhampir using compound magic of 4 dhampirs, their attack soon obliterated Warwick, turning him back into a pile of mana.
With Warwicks death, the remaining ghouls and dhampir begun attacking the base walls once more, causing unnecessary panic to some students of the Gritonnia Academy.
With the dhampirs magic adding to the assault, the defensive array from the barrier begun to rapidly detoriate despite the efforts of some mages in maintaining it.
As for Shun he then opened his summoning book once more and summoned 5 champion's to deal with the remaining ghouls and the attacking dhampirs. The champion's were Gnar, Reksai, Ahri, Ryze, and newly auditioned Mundo.
With their help they manage to wipe out the ghouls from outside the base and even attack the dhampirs that came out from the forest. Even though it was quite a challenge, they manage to take down some dhampirs. However everything changed when the vampires joined in.
In just a matter of few seconds, the vampires took down ryze and incapacitated Gnar. After that they ganged up on Reksai while preventing her from burrowing deep within the earth with their immense strength, while outpacing Ahri.
Lastly it took them awhile to take down Mundo due to his abundance of health and durability, but in that moment, the leader of the vampire who appeared to be a small child around the age of 10 in a suite, then stepped forward and took down Mundo in few moves.
Upon seeing this, Shun couldn't help but tense up as he informed everyone that there is a powerful vampire right inside the dark forest.
Soon after as the moon came out and illuminated the area, the vampires together with some armored knight, dhampirs, and remaining ghouls then stepped into the light as their army was clear to see for all the people on top of the wall.
In this moment Rosalyn begun giving out orders towards the students, as some wore grim expressions after seeing the army of bloodthirsty monsters right in front of them.
Soon after numerous dhampirs activated magic, as compound magic circle appeared above the base one after another, as one magic circle layered on top of another.
Soon after, this assault of magic then downpours unto the base, as the mages in the base begun pouring put their mana to maintain the barrier protecting them all. In that moment even Aria, Wendy, and Cedric begun tapping in their mana to maintain the barrier.
At this point on, hiding behind the wall was completely useless if the base was taken down, for their own safety, they then poured in their mana in order to support the barrier.
In that regard after seeing everyone helping out, Sephiria also uses her own mana in order to help inaintaoning the barrier. However due to this, all the vampires present sensed her mana and was assured that their prey was hiding inside the wall. Since Sephiria's mana is abundant and powerful, her mana scent is like a delicacy towards the vampires.
In their belief, the more mana smells good, the more tastier is the blood of the person who uses such mana. The purity of mana correspond to the purity of its blood.
In that moment the leader of the vampire joined in the assault and uses his very own compound magic which completely destroyed the balance and shattered the barrier around the base.
With the protective barrier down, the vampire shouted in cheer, as Rosalyn panicked a little and quickly reorganize the battle formation. At this point on close confrontation was inevitable.
With the speed that the vampire race possesses, it didn't take long for them to reach the walls, as the ghouls climb on it with their sharp claws, while brute vampires begun knocking on its door.
Not long after with pure strength, the vampires tore down the door, while the ghouls assaulted the mages on top of the wall.
But the moment the vampires and the armored knights broke down the door, Goran together with the close combatant students took the charge as they risked their life and charged at the vampires with multiple enhancements poured down on them by the back mages. At the same time Rosalyn together with some swift sword users begun their counter attack on top of the ghouls as they cut down the enemy that are targeting the mage.
However just as Rosalyn took down a ghoul and pulled up a student from the ground, a blood arrow suddenly zoomed past her and squarely hit the student she is helping straight into her head. In that instant a student has been eliminated as pillar of light rose towards the sky and returned back to its cruise ship safe zone.
Upon seeing a students death right infront of her, Rosalyn quickly glared at the vampire child that shot the arrow, as she somehow bared her fangs at such monster. On the otherhand the leader of the vampires simply scoffed at it with a smile as if taunting Rosalyn to make a reckless choice.
Unbeknownst to everyone, the other bases in the island also saw the pillar of light reaching towards the sky, in that moment they recognized the direction of the area to be currently occupied by the students of Gritonnia Academy.
With that said, they were now curious on what happened that warrant an elimination this deep into the night.
