Downstairs, Butler Santana was tidying up the living room.
Jasmine Yale observed the situation; it seemed that Joan Harry's parents had just left not long ago, as the smell of smoke still lingered in the air.
Sylvan Cheney also casually grabbed a black coat to wear and took her towards the plum garden at the Cheney Residence.
The outside air was fresh and fragrant with flowers.
Sylvan Cheney had taken her by the hand to come out, walking by her side and blocking much of the cold wind for her.
As soon as they got outside, Jasmine quickly let go of his hand.
"I know the way, I can walk by myself, don't worry, I won't wander off," Jasmine said in quick succession, clearly not wanting to walk with him.
The plum garden at the Cheney Residence was located on the southernmost side of the house, adjacent to the surrounding wall and very tranquil.
As a child, Jasmine didn't like to go there because it was too desolate.
As she got older, she would go there when she was feeling down.
