The fight against Rosemary was going poorly for Julia. But then, a savior appeared on the scene!
"Here I go!" Dan spent three stacks of Time Accel and unleashed Chronostasis at Rosemary! That should stun Rosemary for like five hundred years!
Alas, the girl reacted quickly. Even though it was a surprise attack, Rosemary rolled out of danger in the nick of time.
"Nuuuuuuu!" Dan exclaimed. That was three stacks of Time Accel wasted! Fuuuuuu!
I swear this is the kind of shit that's keeping the class in C tier. He sighed. Like, I know that most pros rank it B tier and all, but there's no way it's true when your main damage spell is so freaking slow!
Likely, seriously. The damage of Chronostasis was great and its stun duration could be lethal… but none of that mattered when the dang skill couldn't hit anything for shit!
In short, Dan was part of the #BuffChronomancer movement. But, he was already used to mess-ups like these, so he came prepared with a backup.
Time for Plan B! Dan spent another three Time Accels and activated Haste. This granted him a huge Attack Speed buff which he was going to use to the fullest!
He unleashed a barrage of basic attacks, firing countless magical shots at the Vampire. Though Chronomancer was technically a mage, his basics rivaled marksmen in DPS when buffed by Haste.
So, he was gonna destroy that damn Rosemary girl! It was payback time! Let's gooooo!
But, as expected, things were never that easy against Rosemary. Dan hit her twice ezpz, but the dang girl sidestepped the third shot.
But, that's fine. After the third shot was gonna come the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, and the billionth! WHISH! WHISH! WHISH! Haste with three accels was like a machine gun!
Oh, how long I've been waiting for this moment! Dan licked his lips. It's always hella hard to catch this dang girl in a bad position like this, so I'm not letting this chance slip! This time, we're ending her!
It was poetic revenge. Dan was playing the same class he played in the first game, that one game where Rosemary royally kicked his ass and made him look like a Bronze player. That shit was brutal, even traumatizing.
Dan has more or less recovered since then, but that atrocious game was still stuck at the back of his mind. Especially, since no matter how much StormBlitz dominated afterward, Rosemary's performance remained consistent across all games. It's like she was unbeatable.
But then, during this game's drafting, Ellen was all like: "Since this is the last game and all, how about you pick Chrono again? You know, to recreate the first game~"
It was such an Ellen thing to suggest. The idea repulsed Dan but Howard felt differently.
"It's a good idea," Howard said. "Winning with a similar lineup will prove we're better than them beyond a shadow of a doubt. It'll make it clear we lost the first game to a fluke."
When phrased like that, Dan found the suggestion attractive as well. This was his chance to clear out the dark cloud that was hovering over his head this entire match.
On top of that, he also wanted to restore some faith in Chronomancer. Sure, it wasn't the best class out there, but it definitely didn't deserve to be killed twenty times over by some greenhorn.
Dan took pride in his ability to play many Jungler classes, and Chronomancer was among his favorites. Thus, Dan picked it again to prove a point!
And, I'mma prove it right here by killing this chick! Dan fired relentlessly without stopping to take a single breath. His finger was mashing the left mouse button like crazy. CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK! It was redemption time!
