Yue'er blinked her large eyes, accepting his words without further comment. She merely nodded and then lay down on the table, resting her small chin on the back of her hand, patiently awaiting her mother's return.
When Feng Jiu finally rejoined them, she found everyone still gathered in the courtyard, seated around the table. "Have you all eaten?" She asked gently. "Why didn't you rest first?"
