Her successes were significantly connected to her potent family background, alongside the determination and resolute spirit she exuded. Amidst these advantages, there loomed a major factor that could hinder her from getting the best in life, which was fear. Dispelling that trait would help in maximising her goals. Ashley almost slipped into depression, thinking her dad who happened to be a Lieutenant General was gone, and might not return home, due to a peacekeeping engagement. Her dad occupied an irreplaceable place in their lives. Will her spirit be revivified back to her lively state to keep pursuing her goals back in life? How seamless will her medical school dream be? What significant pressure will her choice of career portend in shaping her psyche and decision making pattern, bringing out a rounded and fulfilled person she had been programmed to be? In some circumstances, she doused the tension of dread or trepidation by bracing up to become successful through the odds. Similarly, her thoughts and decisions were processed to align with some sort of anxiety, dictating her choices. Other events revolved round the minor plot of a male character who was undaunted by his family’s past emotional and mental fear against suppressing his dream of a military career. The novel captures various scenarios of angst following certain occurrences. It’s chronicled through a developmental plot structure of anxiety. It further touches on love, passion, determination, successes and failure explored through diverse characters.
